T minus 12 days, and counting….

It’s just a couple of weeks to go until the reunion here in Melbourne.
It hardly seems like nine months since we were sitting around Marg’s dinner table discussing the idea. Anyhow, last Monday (March 5) John, Sandy, Marg and me took a drive down to Barbara and Andrew’s place at Sorrento to have a final get together prior to everyone arriving. While we were down there we took a look at the accommodation which Barb has organised. We were all very impressed with Barb’s choice. The place looks ideal for lazing around and chatting, having a swim, feeding your face, drinking the odd beer or three, and generally making a pig of yourself for a few days – just like we used to do when travelling! In the afternoon everyone went for a sail on Port Phillip Bay, (except yours truly who was suffering from a queasy stomach) and I am pleased to say all returned, without my having to alert the Water Police or Coast Guard. Over dinner we sorted out the details of meeting, greeting, contacting and transporting everyone around Melbourne. Margaret and I have produced various lists, and bits of information for everyone attending the reunion, which will be emailed to you over the next day or so. According to my count we will have a total of 26 people over the weekend. Not a bad effort, I reckon.
So, we are all set and very much looking forward to seeing you all in a couple of weeks. Don’t forget to bring plenty of “baksheesh” with you – and any medications you now require to keep the body functioning. See you soon.
